Silkies are one of the oldest breeds of chicken. Silkies are relatively small chickens they have five toes on each foot . All Silkies have black skin, bones and grayish-black meat. Silkies lay a fair number of cream-colored eggs. Silkie-like feathering so the overall result is a soft, fluffy appearance.
